East Jakarta Gulkarmat Deploy 170 Personnel During Eid Holiday

As many as 170 East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-agency personnel were on guard during Eid holiday.

East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-agency Head, Muchtar Zakaria stated, 170 personnel had been deployed since D-7 until D+7 of Eid. They joined with other personnel from TNI, Police, Transportation Sub-agency, and Satpol PP in 10 sub-districts.

"We take a part as joint personnel. Every day, we deploy 170 personnel to be placed in 10 sub-districts. Our personnel are based at Pam Post which built by Police in several points," he said, Wednesday (5/12).

According to him, Gulkarmat personnel were also on patrol with other personnel by focusing on crowded places. Such as shopping centers, traditional markets, modern markets, terminals, stations, and other locations that could trigger crowd.

East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-agency's Prevention Section Head, Edi Parwoko stated, in carrying out joint patrol, his side also socialized people about fire handling and COVID-19 spread prevention.

Moreover, his side also put stickers and pamphlets about fire prevention and control during the pandemic in strategic locations.

"When conducting joint patrol, we socialize people about COVID-19 spread prevention and fire handling," he closed.
