Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Figures as of May 16

The number of people tested last week has reached 41,662

The Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force announces the latest information of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as of May 13.

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head Dwi Oktavia Tatri Lestari stated, based on the latest data, the swab tests had been carried out on 6,125 specimens. 3,580 of them were to diagnose new cases with 161 positive and 3,419 negative results. In addition, an antigen test was also held today, where 3,414 were tested, with 86 positive results and 3,328 negative results.

"The number of people tested last week has reached 41,662, while 361,784people have undergone the swab tests. As for the number of active cases in Jakarta, date is 7,146 people who are undergoing self-isolation at home (including data of athlete's homestead) or decreased to 120 cases," she expressed, as quoted by Jakarta's PPID press release, Sunday (5/16).

As for the total number of confirmation cases in Jakarta to date was 419,208 cases. Of these cases, 404,980 people were cured with a cure rate reaching 96.6% and 7,082 people died with a world with a death rate of 1.7%, while Indonesia's death rate was 2.8%. The positivity rate in the last week in Jakarta was 8.5%, while Indonesia was 10.9%. WHO also set a standard percentage of positive cases of no more than 5%.  

Meanwhile, the vaccination process was still ongoing. The number of vaccination targets for stages 1 and 2 (health workers, the elderly, and public servants) was 3,000,689 people. The total vaccination dose 1 was currently 2,191,3872 people (73.0%) and the total vaccination dose 2 now reached 1,477,896 people (49.3%).

With the detailed, vaccination dose 1 for health workers reached 129,295 people (115.1) and vaccination dose 2 included 113,974  people (101.5%), with a vaccination target of 112,301 people. As for the elderly, vaccination dose 1 was done to 584,099 people (64.1%) and vaccination dose 2 included 500,318 people (54,9%), with a vaccination target of 911,631 people. In the public service, vaccination dose 1 was administered to 1,477,975  people (74.8%) and vaccination dose 2 included 862,142 people (43.6%), with a vaccination target of 1,976,757 people.

Amid PPKM Mikro, residents wanting to enter the Jakarta area were urged to carry out independent COVID-19 check-up through the JakCLM via JAKI app. In this app, they could find out the risk of COVID-19 and got various health recommendations according to the risks they have. This contribution would help the government to prevent the diseases in Jakarta.

Together with Satpol PP, the operation for residents who do not wear masks will also be intensified, including other PSBB violations. Hopefully, they can be more disciplined in implementing health protocols and participating in stopping the chain of COVID-19.
