Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Figures as of May 7

The Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force announces the latest information of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as of May 7.

The number of people tested last week has reached 64,756

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head Dwi Oktavia Tatri Lestari stated, based on the latest data, the swab tests had been carried out on 15,360 specimens. 10,752 of them were to diagnose new cases with 783positive and 9,969 negative results. In addition, an antigen test was also held today, where 5,449 were tested, with 86 positive results and 5,363 negative results.

"The number of people tested last week has reached 64,756, while 356,196 people have undergone the swab tests. As for the number of active cases in Jakarta, date was 7,413 people who were undergoing self-isolation at home (including data of athlete's homestead) or increased to 164 cases," she expressed, as quoted by Jakarta's PPID press release, Friday (5/7).

Latest Information on COVID-19 Cases and Vaccination in Jakarta as of May 6, 2021

As for the total number of confirmation cases in Jakarta to date was 414,106 cases. Of these cases, 399,821 people were cured with a cure rate reaching 96.6% and 6,872 people died with a world with a death rate of 1.7%, while Indonesia's death rate was 2.7%. The positivity rate in the last week in Jakarta was 8.5%, while Indonesia was 10.9%. WHO also set a standard percentage of positive cases of no more than 5%.

Meanwhile, the vaccination process was still ongoing. The number of vaccination targets for stages 1 and 2 (health workers, the elderly, and public servants) was 3,000,689 people. The total vaccination dose 1 was currently 2,064,779 people (68.8%) and the total vaccination dose 2 now reached 1,366,690 people (45.5%).
