Dishub Intensifies Random Checks for AKAP Bus Passengers

The Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) together with the Jakarta Health Agency (Dinkes) and other related agencies would conduct random checks for passengers coming from outside Greater Jakarta using intercity and inter-provincial (AKAP) buses.

Passengers who come will be checked for temperature first and checked for negative Covid-19 certificate, which is valid 1x24 hours

It would be intensified at four terminals, namely Kalideres, Tanjung Priok, Kampung Rambutan, and Pulogebang.

Public Transportation Terminal Management Unit (UPTAJ) Head, Syamsul expressed it was compliance with an anddendum in the Covid-19 Task Force's Circular Letter number 13/2021 on the tightening of requirements for domestic travelers (PPDN) for D-14 and D+7 in terms of homecoming ban.

"Passengers who come will be checked for temperature first and checked for negative Covid-19 certificate, which is valid 1x24 hours. If not, we will do random checks through GeNose and rapid antigen tests," he expressed, Monday (5/17).

He instructed all officers at the four terminals to tighten screening for passengers coming from outside Greater Jakarta using AKAP in a bid to prevent transmission of Covid-19.

"If someone is positive for Covid, he/she will be processed for further action" he stated.
