Central Jakarta Provides Free Antigen and PCR Tests for Homecomers

Central Jakarta Health Sub-agency provided free antigen and PCR tests using door-to-door method for residents who returning from their hometown (mudik) after Eid holiday.

Health screening is done to ensure residents who have returned to Central Jakarta are not exposed to COVID-19

Central Jakarta Health Sub-agency Head, Erizon Safari stated, antigen and PCR tests were handled by sub-district health center (puskesmas) COVID-19 task force team through coordination with local urban village, RT/RW administrators, and dasawisma cadres.

"Health screening is done to ensure residents who have returned to Central Jakarta are not exposed to COVID-19," he stated, Tuesday (5/18).

If antigen test results are found to be reactive, his side will proceed with PCR tests to confirm whether those residents are positive or negative COVID-19.

Those who are indicated to be positively exposed to COVID-19 will be taken immediately to Wisma Atlet or hospital for further treatment.

"Next, COVID-19 Task Force at sub-district level will carry out tracing if positive cases are found from residents who have just returned from their hometown," he mentioned.
