Jakarta KPKP Agency's Livestock and Animal Health Division Head, Rismiati conveyed, this social service activity was held as an effort to control infectious animal disease and improve delman horses welfare.
In this activity, Jakarta KPKP Agency collaborates with Subang Veterinary Center, Jakarta Branch of Indonesia Veterinary Medical Association (PDHI), Indonesian Equine Veterinary Association (ADHKI), and Jakarta Animal Aid Network (JAAN).

In order to detect any dangerous animal disease, she continued, horse blood samples should be taken for examination at Subang Veterinary Center Laboratory, West Java.
East Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Head, Yuli Absari explained, her side had examined and taken blood samples of total 30 horses. From laboratory results, she hoped that no horse were exposed to dangerous disease.
"We provide free routine health check and treatment for those horses. We hope there are no sick horses, but if they are sick, we can treat them as soon as possible because those horses are used by residents to make a living," she explained.
Jatinegara Urban Village Head, Slamet Sihabudin reminded residents who own horses to maintain the environment clean and comply with health protocol.
"We would like to thank Jakarta KPKP Agency for routinely checking residents' delman horses," he said.
Yadi (50), one of delman horse owners also conveyed his gratitude to KPKP officers for smearing his itchy horse with ointment and giving vitamins.
"I am very happy and helped through this health check assistance from government," he mentioned.
