Vegetables and Processed Products Bazaar at Balkot Farm Enthused

We're selling the 300-gram vegetables at Rp 1,000 and 250-mililiter kale juice at Rp 15,000

The bazaar that provides vegetables and processed products at Balkot Farm, Jakarta City Hall Building complex, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Gambir, Central Jakarta, enthused, Friday (6/11)

One of the urban agriculture activists, Muhammad Shidqy, said that the fresh vegetables sold were green spinach, kale, pakcoy and green mustard. While for herbal drink products, there were kembang teleng tea and kale juice.

"We're selling the 300-gram vegetables at Rp 1,000 and 250-mililiter kale juice at Rp 15,000," he expressed.

He explained that four packs of green spinach were sold, three packs of kale, seven packs of pakcoy and four packs of mustard greens.

"We have nine bottles of kembang teleng tea and ten bottles of kale juice," he explained.

According to the resident of Jalan Kemayoran Barat, Kemayoran Urban Village, Kemayoran Sub-district, Central Jakarta, being an urban farming activist could provide tangible results to add insight, knowledge and opportunities to advance in improving the economy or welfare.

He furthered continued, being an activist in urban farming is also a real collaboration to help the government in realizing food security and greening the environment.

"There are tangible results that can be obtained if we are diligent and serious. Thanks to urban farming, I also had the opportunity to take part in the selection of the second phase of the 2021 work internship program to Japan, which was initiated by the Agriculture Ministry," he stated.
