The Musi Banyuasin District Legislators (DPRD), visited a working visit (kunker) to the Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Agency in order to study urban farming development, on Thursday (2/13).
It was directly led by the Musi Banyuasin District DPRD Chairman Sugondo accompanied by its secretary M Thabrani Rizki, the Commission II Chairman Yami and other legislator members.

"Urban farming here also has applied technological developments. Surely this is an invaluable input to be implemented in our area," he expressed, at the office of Jakarta KPKP Agency Office, Jalan Gunung Sahari Raya, Central Jakarta.
Currently all regions in Indonesia continue to develop with rapid development and increase population growth. That means, all regions would experience the reduction of farming land or plantations.
"All regions need to realize food security, urban farming is the solution for that," he explained.
Jakarta KPKP Agency's Urban Farming Division Head Taufik Yulianto expressed urban farming in Jakarta continues to be developed massively through green alleys, land use in office areas such as Balkot Farm, utilization of empty land, public spaces or in RPTRA and schools school.
"We are grateful, urban farming in Jakarta has become a reference for many regions in Indonesia. But we keep creating innovations and new breakthroughs," he stressed.
He added limited space utilization relied on hydroponic methods with various models, from the simplest (generic) to high technology to realize Urban Farming 4.0.
