Kebon Manggis Pick Ups Residents for Vaccination

Total 15 joint personnel from Satpol PP, LMK, RT/RW administrators, and Kebon Manggis Urban Village apparatuses, Matraman, East Jakarta encouraged residents on Jl. Kesatrian IX RT 17/03 aged 18 years and over to take a part in COVID-19 vaccination, on Friday (6/18).

Kebon Manggis Urban Village head, Ibnu Fajar explained, his side went straight to houses of residents who hadn't been vaccinated. It was carried out because there were many residents who hadn't been vaccinated yet in the region. For information, his side has provided 3 vaccination sites in the area, namely Kebon Manggis Urban Village Health Center, Gramedia Matraman and Polkes Zeni TNI AD.

According to him, RW 03 area underwent micro-lockdown in January-February 2021 because 40 residents were positive for COVID-19.

"We carry out door-to-door service to accelerate vaccination for residents. We focus on RW 03 because previously this area underwent micro-lockdown due to high COVID-19 cases, which reached 40 cases," he stated.

Active cases in RW 03 reappeared after three months in sterile condition. Based on data, 40 of 13 thousand residents across 28 RTs are confirmed positive for COVID-19. Some of them are currently undergoing isolation at Wisma Atlet Kemayoran, Central Jakarta and the remaining are undergoing self-isolation at home.

Matraman Sub-district Deputy Head, Mujiono conveyed, his side reminded his residents to take vaccination as soon as possible to prevent COVID-19 transmission through socialization, education, as well as door-to-door service to optimize people vaccinated in the region.

"If not many residents are vaccinated in a region, we pick them up for vaccination. We have prepared operational cars at urban village and sub-district levels to pick up people who want to be vaccinated," he said.
