East Jakarta Receives 10,000 Medical Masks Aid

Hopefully it can be useful for East Jakarta residents amid the pandemic

The East Jakarta administration, received 10,000 pieces of medical masks from the East Jakarta National Committee of Indonesian Youth (KNPI), on Thursday (6/24).

The mask handover was carried out symbolically by the East Jakarta KNPI Chairman, Ikhsan Akbar to East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar in the Special Meeting Room of the Mayor's Building.

He disclosed that these masks were very useful in efforts to implement health protocols amid the increasing number of Covid-19 cases in recent days. They would be distributed to people in need.

"We express our gratitude and appreciation, as KNPI was also present to assist the government in providing masks for the community," he said.

He also hoped that the KNPI could be a public relation to invite the public participate in vaccinations, moreover it is free of charge. They should also be able to explain that the vaccine is safe and not harmful.

Even he saw that currently public awareness to comply with health protocols was still low, only around 40 percent.

East Jakarta KNPI Chairman, Ikhsan Akbar added, in this program of giving 10,000 masks, he collaborated PT Biznet, one of the internet network providers in Jakarta. By giving these masks, he invited the public to comply with health protocols.

"Hopefully it can be useful for East Jakarta residents amid the pandemic," he closed.
