City Teams Up with PKK to Support Joint Movement to Wear Masks #GebrakMasker

Jakarta Provincial Government supports the Joint Movement to Wear Masks or called Gebrak Masker that is initiated by the central government by involving the Family Welfare Movement (PKK) cadres.
It is in line with the city's efforts in encouraging and accustoming the public to wearing masks during activities amid the COVID-19 outbreak in order to fight the disease.
Jakarta TP PKK Distributed Thousands of Masks at Karet Tengsin Public HousingBy collaborating with the Center PKK Movement Team (TP), the Gebrak Masker and New Behavior Education activities were held at the Karet Tengsin Flat, Tengsin, Central Jakarta, on Monday (8/24).
On that occasion, Center TP PKK Chairperson Tri Tito Karnavian gave the aid to Jakarta TP PKK Chairperson Fery Farhati, to then be handed over to representatives of residents at the Karet Tengsin Flat with details of aid as follows:
- 3 pieces of sterile machines
- 2.000 pieces of cloth masks
- 5 jerry cans of 5-liters hand sanitizer
- 20 units of trash cans
- 100 packages of nutritious food packages
- 500 boxes of rice boxes
As for the aid to the nine representatives are:
- 1 urban village: trash cans and sterile machines
- 1 sector police: trash cans and sterile machines
- 1 PKK Cadre: cloth masks and nutritious food packages
- 1 Puskesmas: medical masks and trash cans
- 1 Posyandu: nutritious food and trash cans
- 4 Community representatives (pregnant women, elderly people, disabled, mothers with toddlers): masks, nutritious food packages, and food packages
"Thank you for the aid anyway. We are ready to support #GebrakMasker and continue to educate people about 3M rules," she expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Monday (8/24).
She mentioned implementing a clean and healthy lifestyle and complying with health protocols in activities were essential things that needed to be done together during a pandemic.
"We urge people to apply 3M rules, wear masks, wash hands with soap and running water often and maintain physical distancing. Also remember to always try to avoid crowds to stop the chain of COVID-19," she expressed.
Through Gebrak Masker movement, she furthered, PKK cadres and especially families could be more consistent in wearing masks. As a learner, PKK cadres also continued to participate and provided useful information related to curb the disease via social media, instant messaging apps, multi-topic webinars, etc.
"Quoting the Governor's message in National Family Day, let's be a family that looks after each other and cares for each other amid the pandemic. Apart from taking care of our own family, but also looking after and caring for other families around us," she expressed.
Afterwards, the activity continued with an inspection of the rapid test area in the flat area and distributing masks to residents door to door.
