Satpol PP: 15,972 Netted for Not Wearing Masks from June 22-27

We have managed to collect around Rp 58,300,000 from the violators

Jakarta Satpol PP has noted that as many as 15,972 people have been netted for not wearing masks in the mask operation on June 22-27.

Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Arifin said that 15,718 violated the rules for wearing masks; 545 violated health protocols in restaurants, food stalls, and cafes; 84 violated health protocols in offices; and 165 violated health protocols in other places of business.

According to him, the sanctions given to mask violators were social work and administrative fines. As for sanctions for restaurants, food stalls, cafes, places of business, offices were in the form of dissolution, written warning, temporary closure of a maximum for 3x24 hours and fines.

"We have managed to collect around Rp 58,300,000 from the violators," he expressed, Tuesday (6/29).

He asserted the raid against violators kept being intensified, either related to the use of masks, in offices or also places of business.

"Actually it is done every day or never stops. We focus on more than 50 locations every morning. We take action against those who are not disciplined in wearing masks," he explained.

It was conducted considering Jakarta sees significant rises in the number of Covid-19 cases lately thus all parties have awareness, responsibility and mutual contribution in order to contain the spread of Covid-19.

"Let's participate and be responsible for disciplining all good people from ourselves, including business actors to their employees. Let's have the same intention to save ourselves, our families and brothers and society. If it runs well, surely it can eliminate the virus faster," he stated.
