PT. JIExpo is Ready to Provide Place for Emergency Hospital

PT. Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) is ready to collaborate for supporting COVID-19 handling by providing a place for Emergency Hospital.

In this urgent condition, we are very ready to help government and community

PT. JIExpo Commissioner, M. Rico Sinaga conveyed, representatives from central government through Health Ministry and Jakarta Health Agency had surveyed JIExpo, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta on Thursday (7/1).

There were several officials who surveyed the area, including Traditional Health Service Director General and Health Ministry's Health Service Directorate General (Sesditjen Kemenkes), Azhar Jaya and Yankestrad Director, Wirabrata.

"For representatives from Jakarta Government, there are Head Agency's Health Service Division Head, Weningtyas Purnomorini and Jakarta BP BUMD Acting Head (Plt), Riyadi and I, as PT. JIExpo Commissioner who represent the share ownership of Jakarta Government," he conveyed, Friday (7/20).

Based on data, COVID-19 cases had increased in the past week. In fact, Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR) in Jakarta is above 90 percent or exceeding safe threshold set by World Health Organization (WHO), which ranges between 60-80 percent.

"In this urgent condition, we are very ready to help government and community thus health services can be carried out optimally amid rising COVID-19 cases," he stated.

According to him, JIExpo area which can be used for Emergency Hospital is estimated to have capacity up to 24,000 beds. It means it is not impossible that residents living in buffer areas can also be served when capacity in hospitals is overloaded.

"We hope that better health services will help many people who have been exposed to COVID-19," he mentioned.

He reminded residents to continue complying health protocol even though they have been vaccinated to prevent them from being exposed to COVID-19.

"Let us help government to overcome this pandemic. Each of us can make a contribution by always complying health protocol," he asserted.
