Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan, took his time to visit and monitor the Covid-19 vaccination for children aged 12-18 years in the Pattern Room, Jakarta City Hall, on Monday (7/5).

If you (the parent) will get vaccinated, register your child as well

"Register yourself via JAKI, then you can choose the place and time. I invite parents to direct their children to take the vaccine. One of them is at the City Hall which is usually used for vaccination activities," he expressed, after the visit.

According to him, children could also get vaccination services at other health facilities such as sub-district puskesmas along with their parents and siblings who are registered in a family card .

"If you (the parent) will get vaccinated, register your child as well. So no need to come twice. Moreover, this vaccination also applies to non-residents of Jakarta," he stated.

Regarding the target, he uttered that 1.3 million children were targeted to get vaccines directly or through parents.

As for additional information, the number of vaccination targets reached 8,815,157 people. The total first dose as of July 4 was 4,800,657 people (54.5%), with a total of 118,645 people being vaccinated. While the total second dose reached 1,935,269 people (22%), with 3,464 people being vaccinated.

While for vaccination for children aged 12-18 years, the first dose reached 0.1%. Meanwhile, residents aged 18-59 years with the first dose reached 53.1% and the second dose reached 17.7%. Then, in the elderly group, the first dose reached 65.8% and the second dose reached 58.7%. Further, the first dose of mutual cooperation vaccination had been given to 94,471 people and the second dose to 34,298 people.
