The mobile vaccine car is part of the Jakarta administration's efforts to reach and expand vaccinations in Jakarta. Especially for those who have mobility constraints and the vaccination coverage is still low.
"This afternoon, we release 16 mobile vaccination cars which will later visit densely populated areas with vaccination rates that are not yet high," expressed the Governor as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

They were Kodam Jaya and Polda Metro Jaya, as well as from the business world, including Kadin, Apindo, Aprindo, Hipindo and PT Magenta Mediatama.
"From us, there are 5 vehicles, 3 from Kodam, 3 from Polda, 3 from Magenta and 2 from Higher Education Director General. So, in total, there will be 16 vehicles," he explained.
"Every vehicle has 5 crews consisting of various agencies. They will easily move from place to place to ensure vaccination takes place. It has been running since yesterday and until today it has been operating in Jakarta area," he explained.
He was also optimistic that the vaccination target could be achieved. Moreover, until July 7, data from the Health Agency stated that 5 million people had been vaccinated with dose 1 in Jakarta.
"We want people to be vaccinated as soon as possible. InsyaAllah, we can hit the target of 7.5 million people by the end of August, as we have succeeded with 5 million people being vaccinated in early July," he explained.
Lastly, he also expressed his appreciation to all parties involved in the mobile vaccine car program.
"Thank you to all collaborators who have worked together for the success of the vaccination program in Jakarta," he stated.
