Mobile Vaccine Car Service will Be Intensified to Accelerate Vaccination in Jakarta

COVID-19 vaccination program in Jakarta is continued. Jakarta Government targeted to vaccinate 8,815,157 people in order to achieve herd immunity thus COVID-19 outbreak in Jakarta could be handled well.

It is a program to facilitate people to get vaccination service

In order to achieve herd immunity, Jakarta Government carries out series of door-to-door efforts, one of them is to provide mobile vaccine car service.

It was emphasized by Jakarta Vice Governor, Ahmad Riza Patria (Ariza) when monitoring mobile vaccination in Cipedak Urban Village, South Jakarta on Wednesday (7/14).

"It is a program to facilitate people to get vaccination service. By providing this service from morning to afternoon, we can accelerate our performance to achieve 100,000 vaccination per day. Thank God, Jakarta always exceeds target (per day). (Hopefully) Jakarta will soon be free from COVID-19 and we can carry out our daily activities normally while implement health protocol," he said, as quoted from Jakarta PPID Press Release.

For information, Jakarta Government has launched 16 mobile vaccine cars on Thursday (7/8) as an effort to accelerate vaccination in Jakarta and reach out the wider community. This service is held through collaboration between Jakarta Experience Board (JXB) and various stakeholders, as well as private sectors.

Therefore, he always reminds Jakartans to immediately take vaccination. Not only adults, mobile vaccine car also serves vaccination for children aged 12 years and over. This way, children can be more protected from COVID-19. He also urges residents to adhere to Emergency PPKM policy, be more disciplined in implementing health protocol, and  have a healthy lifestyle.

"We ask the whole community to carry out Emergency PPKM policy in a disciplined and responsible manner. Once again, it is best to stay at home, including worship, working, except working in essential and critical sectors," he stated.

Before monitoring vaccination in Cipedak Urban Village, South Jakarta, Ariza visited vaccination activity which initiated by Budi Luhur University, South Jakarta. He also expressed his appreciation for holding vaccination through collaboration with various parties.

"I feel happy, proud and grateful because vaccination is carried out at Budi Luhur University. Placing vaccination center in campus is a very good thing, academics and intellectuals are actively involved in making their best contribution. Vaccination is important, that's why Jakarta Government not only intensifies 3T, but also accelerates vaccination," he conveyed.
