The flood as high as 6 meter which hit Kampung Pulo, Jatinegara, East Jakarta on Thursday (11/20), is begin to recede. The citizens directly cleaned the trash and mud brought by the flood.

Citizen spout the mud and trash by using one mini portable pump connected to water at Ciliwung river with 50 meter long hose. Besides, citizens also used hoe, dust pan, broom and carbolic. One by one, the citizens house were sprayed and directly cleaned by using carbolic, while the mud and trash were immediately pick up to the sack and put at the street corner.
Safarudin (40), RT 03/03 Kampung Pulo citizen, said this action involved hundreds of citizen. "The citizen worry if the mud and trash will provide any disease if not cleaned immediately," he said, Friday (11/21).

, Head of East Jakarta Cleanliness Sub-dept., Apul Silalahi said, the trash after flood can not be cleaned now. It is because water level at Ciliwung river still unstable. So, the flood not fully recede and still left some puddle at citizen settlement."Definitely, if the flood fully recede, there will be mass cleaning by involving sub-dept. of cleanliness, Satpol PP, sub-dept. of firefighter, army/police, and others," he stated.
