Central Jakarta Opens Two Vaccination Centers on Weekends

Central Jakarta administration is collaborating with Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) to hold dynamic vaccine center services in two locations on Saturday (7/17) and Sunday (7/18).

According to Dhany Sukma, Mayor of Central Jakarta, those locations were SMPN 228 Kemayoran and Sunda Kelapa Mosque. The target was people aged 12-18 years or over and Indonesian Mosque Council (DMI) caretakers.

"Vaccination at SMPN 228 Kemayora n is slated on July 17 and Sunda Kelapa Mosque on July 18," he expressed, Friday (7/16).

He revealed that his party continues to develop collaboration with all stakeholders to open vaccine centers in eight sub-districts, in a bid to achieve the vaccination target of 800,000 people by mid-August.

"Our target is about 500 people in each vaccine center that opens on weekends," he stated.

He also instructed sub-district heads, urban village heads and RT/RW chairmen in Central Jakarta to intensively encourage locals to get vaccinated at static and dynamic vaccine centers.

"Through this collaboration, we are optimistic to reach the target," he asserted.
