Thousand Islands Scouting Distributes 160 Food Packages to Self-Isolated Residents

Thousand Islands Regent, Junaedi appreciated Karya Bhakti Pramuka Kwartir Cabang (Kwarcab) of Thousand Islands Scout Movement for its activity in providing 160 food packages for residents who undergo self-isolation.

He assessed that the activity was a real manifestation of Scouting for people who needed assistance.

"This action should be appreciated. Thank you for your participation and collaboration as well as your concern for residents affected by COVID-19 pandemic, especially those who are undergoing self-isolation," he conveyed after receiving aid and handing it over symbolically to family representatives in Tidung Island Urban Village, South Thousand Islands Sub-district, Wednesday (8/4).

Self-Isolated Residents in Rorotan Receive Food Assistance

Meanwhile, Thousand Islands Scout Movement Kwarcab Head, Bastian mentioned, assistance was from Regional Kwartir (Kwarda) of Jakarta Scout Movement which was distributed simultaneously in six regions of Jakarta.

"For Thousand Islands, there are 160 packages consisting of instant noodles, biscuits, and vitamin C. Total 35 packages have been distributed to Untung Jawa Island Urban Village, 45 packages to Tidung Island Urban Village, 40 packages to Panggang Island Urban Village, 40 packages to Kelapa Island Urban Village," he explained.

He hopes the assistance can ease burden on residents who are undergoing self-isolation and can be a motivation to recover soon.

"Hopefully pandemic will end soon and people can live normally again," he said.
