Utan Panjang People Undergo Vaccination for BPNT Aid

Residents living in Utan Panjang Urban Village, Central Jakarta had undergone a vaccination drive for receiving non-cash food assistance package (BPNT), on Friday (7/30).

In total, as many as 1,265 packages of BPNT were distributed for three days ahead. Until the second day, as many as 800 packages had been distributed to the needy.

"Alhamdulillah, they (residents) are willing to be vaccinated today," said Utan Panjang Urban Village Head, Amadeo.
Based on the data from the Committee for Handling Covid-19 and National Economic Recovery (KPC PEN), as many as 13,756 residents had got vaccinated and the rest 12,653 were unvaccinated.
"We're optimistic that herd immunity will be achieved in Utan Panjang by continuing to innovate by inviting residents to participate in vaccinations," he expressed.
Central Jakarta Vice Mayor, Irwandi uttered that he was supporting the innovation steps taken by the urban village heads in a bid to accelerate the achievement of resident vaccination.
"This is an innovation. So, each village head innovates to speed up the vaccination program," he said.
He added, it was done considering there were still residents who refuse vaccines due to being consumed by hoaxes for various reasons.
"This innovation has a positive aim to achieve herd immunity until next August," he stated.
