January-August, 5,096 Vehicles in East Jakarta Have Violated Traffic Regulations

From January to August 2021, East Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency has netted 5,096 vehicles that violated the traffic, including AKAP buses which operated in illegal terminals.

In 8 months, we have netted total 5,096 vehicles for violating traffic regulations

East Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency's Monitoring and Controlling Section Head, Riky Erwinda mentioned, from total 5,096 vehicles, his side had ticketed 1,536 vehicles and stopped 958 vehicles from operating. Then, 1,461 vehicles were towed, 22 motorcycles were flattened, and 1,119 vehicles were sanctioned for violating PSBB.

"In 8 months, we have netted total 5,096 vehicles for violating traffic regulations during Lintas Jaya operation which involved TNI and Police ranks," he said, Monday (8/16).

There were 17 regulations which violated during the period, such as drivers didn't have driving licenses (SIM) and vehicles didn't meet technical requirements such as mirrors, bald tires, dead lights, and no horn.

His side also grounded 123 AKAP buses for operating in illegal terminals in East Jakarta, such as in Pasar Rebo near JORR toll entrance, in front of Kramat Jati Central Market, Ria Rio Reservoir in Pulogadung, Cakung Barat Toll entrance area, and other points.

Other vehicles were also not equipped with vehicle documents, safety triangle (when vehicles breaks down), not roadworthy, drivers didn't wearing seat belt, violate road markings, and others.
