Regent Sends Ship Carrying Food Assistance for Thousand Islands Residents

Thousand Islands Regent, Junaedi sent ship that transporting 4,254 staple food packages from Marina Pier, Ancol, North Jakarta to Thousand Islands residents.

The assistance was intended for underprivileged residents

This assistance was from Gerakan Berbagi Untuk Warga (GBUW) which is college student community, as well as religious organizations Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) and Muhammadiyah.

"Thank you for your concern and assistance for Thousand Islands residents. Hopefully this assistance can ease the burden on residents affected by pandemic," he mentioned, Wednesday (8/18).

Meanwhile, GBUW's representative from PP Muhammadiyah, Kusnanto added, the assistance was intended for underprivileged residents, including those who engaged in tourism and marine sectors.

"We hope it can inspire many people to help each other and share with each other, thus more underprivileged residents are being helped during the pandemic," he said.
