Here is Detail of Jakarta's Odd-even Traffic Policy Amid PPKM Level 4

Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) is set to reimpose its odd-even traffic policy in connection with the extension of the Level 4 Java and Bali community activity restrictions (PPKM) until August 23.

It aims to limit unnecessary car trip during the pandemic

The policy is listed in the Dishub Head Decree number 332/2021 on Technical Instructions for Implementing Traffic Demand Management with Odd-even System during PPKM Level 4.

There are eight certain roads that apply the odd-even system, namely Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Jalan MH Thamrin, Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat dan Jalan Majapahit, Jalan Gajah Mada, Jalan Hayam Wuruk, Jalan Pintu Besar Selatan, and Jalan Jenderal Gatot Subroto.

But it does not apply to some of the following vehicles:

a. Specially marked vehicles carrying people with disabilities

b. Ambulance

c. Fire truck

d. Public transport vehicles (yellow plate)

e. Vehicles driven by electric motors

f. Motorcycle

g. Goods transport vehicle using oil fuel and gas fuel

h. Government vehicles, namely:

1) President/Vice President

2) Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR)/People's Representative Council/Regional Representative Council (DPR)

3) Chief Justice of the Supreme Court/Constitutional Court/Judicial Commission/Financial Audit Board

i. Operational service vehicles with red plates, army and police

j. Vehicle leaders and officials of foreign countries and international institutions as state guests

k. Vehicles for emergency aid in traffic accidents

l. Vehicles for certain purposes according to the consideration of police officers, such as Money Transporting vehicles (Bank Indonesia, interbank, ATM filling) with supervision from the National Police

m. Vehicles for health workers handling Covid-19 during the national disaster management period caused by the spread of Covid-19

n. Mobilization vehicles for Covid-19 patients

o. Mobilization vehicles for Covid-19 vaccines

p. Oxygen cylinder transport vehicle

q. Logistics transport freight vehicle

r. Application-based special rental transportation vehicles of four or more wheels that have met the requirements and are given a special sticker

Dishub Head, Syafrin Liputo uttered, it would be in place from then on from 6 AM to 8 PM every day. "It aims to limit unnecessary car trip during the pandemic," he expressed, Wednesday (8/18).

He added, evaluation would also be done, including prepare anticipations ways in case of increasing transport capacity on public transport during PPKM.
