Vaccination for Pregnant Women Launched in Ciracas Sub-district

In the launch of vaccination for pregnant women, as many as 50 pregnant women have been vaccinated in vaccination service held at PT. Khong Guan factory yard, on Jl. Raya Bogor, Ciracas, East Jakarta, Friday (8/20). This kick off event was opened by Ciracas Sub-district Head, Mamad. In the future, this vaccination program will be held in six urban village health centers.

This event is held in conjunction with vaccination service for general public which has been held since August 16 and ended on Friday (8/20).

His side targeted 375 pregnant women to be vaccinated in the region. Therefore, he encouraged urban village heads, TP PKK cadres, and RT/RW administrators to socialize pregnant women in their respective regions thus they can immediately get vaccinated.

"Vaccination service center for pregnant women has been prepared in urban village health center and private midwife practice in Ciracas," he added.

Ciracas Sub-district Health Center Head, Santayana Daulay conveyed, vaccination will be prioritized for pregnant women because it has to be given based on gestational age.

"Pregnant women will be prioritized to prevent them from queuing at GOR or vaccination center. We will try to open vaccination center for pregnant women in many places so they don't have to queue," he mentioned.

So far, he assessed, pregnant women's enthusiasm for the vaccination is quite high. His side wanted to intensify socialization about vaccination for pregnant women.

"Vaccination for pregnant women uses Sinovac vaccines," he closed.
