17,000 Students in Central Jakarta Vaccinated for Second Dose

It is targeted to be completed by the end of September

As many as 17,000 out of the total 41,000 students aged 12 to 17 or 40 percent under Central Jakarta Education II Sub-agency underwent the second dose of Covid-19 vaccines, on Thursday (8/26).

Central Jakarta Education II Sub-agency Head, Uripasih said, those students vaccinated were from public, private, madrasah and boarding schools.

95 Percent of Students in Central Jakarta Get Vaccinated

"It is targeted to be completed by the end of September," she expressed.

According to her, it is an important part of welcoming the limited face-to-face learning that starts next week.

She added, thus far, as many as 1,482 out of 41,000 had not received the first dose, as they were still survivors, co-morbidities or certain medical conditions.

"Vaccination of students who have just recovered after exposure are still waiting for up to three months after being tested negative," she stated.
