The Jakarta Regional Research Council (DRD) held a DRD Talks webinar with the theme 'Jakarta Post-pandemic Economic Recovery Strategy: Collaboration-Based Digital Entrepreneurship Incubation Platform for Indonesian MSMEs' on Thursday (8/26).

It was attended by more than 200 people via zoom They were namely Cooperative and MSME Ministry, Jakarta OPD, Jakarta Kadin, Jakarta IWAPI, representatives of universities, communities, and SMEs in Jakarta and o ther cities.

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan said, it was very important for stakeholders to make a strategy with a post-pandemic Jakarta economic recovery scenario.

"This theme is important in anticipating, not only controlling the Covid-19 but for the post-pandemic. Hopefully, there will be many breakthroughs and innovations that we can adapt to benefit the whole community, especially for MSMEs," he stated, on the sidelines of his speech.

Jakarta DRD Chairman, Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan said, the pandemic that has been almost two years has greatly affected the economy of Jakarta residents, especially MSME actors, especially with the implementation of PSBB and PPKM which have been ongoing for quite a long time.

He explained, DRD duty was to conduct research and studies to support the Jakarta administration in finding solutions and determining the main policies for the consistent post-pandemic economic recovery in Jakarta.

"That's why, we also contribute by making a study with this theme. Regarding the economic aspect, we focus on finding a digital-based recovery solution related to MSMEs through entrepreneurial incubation. By so, it is expected to produce a formulation of policy recommendations for the administration," he explained.

Webinar Chief Executive, Faransyah Agung Jaya saw the high enthusiasm of the seminar participants who gave each other their input and experience regarding the incubation of digital entrepreneurship.

He conveyed Jakarta's economic recovery should be done through collaboration between stakeholders and MSME actors.

"Hopefully, the policy proposals filed to the Governor can be soon realized into legal products in the form of rules or regulations, especially in the application of the Collaboration-Based Digital Entrepreneurship Incubation Platform to help accelerate the recovery of MSMEs in Jakarta which will have a positive impact on MSMEs throughout Indonesia," he stated.
