Here are Adjustments to Public Transports Operation During PPKM Level 3 Extension Period

Public transportation operations such as Transjakarta, Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), and Light Rail Transit (LRT) during extension of Public Activity Restrictions (PPKM) Level 3 were adjusted by increasing operating hours.

Customers with comorbidity can still use Transjakarta service by showing medical certificate to our officers

PT. Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) extends bus operating hours from 05:00 until 21:30. It will be effective from September 3, 2021.

PT. Transjakarta President Director, Sardjono Jhony Tjitrokusumo said this policy was taken to follow-up Jakarta Transportation Agency's Decree No. 353/2021 about Technical Guidelines for Limiting Transportation Capacity and Operating Hours of Transportation Modes During Extension of the Implementation of Public Activity Restrictions (PPKM) Level 3 COVID-19.

"Transportation service for health workers will start operate from 21:31 until 22:30," he mentioned, Friday (9/3).

He explained that people who want to use Transjakarta service must show their vaccination certificates first. Vaccination certificate can be accessed via JAKI application, PeduliLindungi, or in form of print out although his side don't advised people to print vaccination certificate.

"At least people who have received first dose vaccine can use Transjakarta service. While for customers with comorbidity can still use Transjakarta service by showing medical certificate to our officers," he stated.

According to him, Transjakarta will continue to limit bus capacity up to 50% where maximum 60 passengers for articulated bus and 30 passengers for maxi and single buses.

"Then, maximum 15 passengers for medium bus and 6 passengers for micro bus," he added.

Meanwhile, MRT Jakarta also adjusted its operating hours which will take effect from September 2, 2021. On Monday-Friday (weekdays), MRT operates at 06:00-21:30 and Saturday-Sunday (weekend) or holiday at 06:00-21:30.

PT. MRT Jakarta President Director, William Sabandar conveyed, train headway will be every 10 minutes in weekdays and 20 minutes in weekend. While the capacity will be limited to 65 passengers per MRT car.

"Passengers are required to have and show their vaccination certificate at least first dose vaccination through application before traveling," he said.

LRT also adjusted its operating hours. PT. LRT Jakarta Corporate Secretary Division Head, Ira Yuanita mentioned, LRT is operating at 05:30-21:30 with headway time every 10 minutes.

"Passengers are limited to 30 people per train car or 60 people per train. All LRT passengers are required to show vaccination certificate either in digital form or through PeduliLindungi.id website/application or vaccination certificate that has been printed officially to officers at station entrance," she explained.
