Channel on Jalan Kelapa Puan Raya is Normalized

Kelapa Gading Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Unit, North Jakarta normalized channel on Jalan Kelapa Puan Raya, Block EF, RT 09/13, Kelapa Gading Timur Urban Village.

Channel dredging and elevation work which started on September 1, 2021 is targeted to be completed on September 30

Kelapa Gading SDA Unit Head, Citrin Indriyarti conveyed, channel normalization was carried out along 209 meters by dredging garbage and mud sedimentation from the channel.

"Currently, we have dredged about 100 meters long. We deploy 10 personnel to dredge it," she explained, Friday (9/10).

In this normalization work, her side not only dredged the channel, but also increase the height if channel's sheet pile from 40 centimeters to 80 centimeters with width of 45 centimeters.

"There are 8 personnel who elevate the sheet pile and now it has been carried out around 5 meters," she added.

During dredging the channel, there were problems with crossing channel which burried in soil and number of utilities cables that attached to channel which causing blockages.

"We will restore the function of crossing channel which buried in soil thus it can be used to overcome inundation in the area. Channel dredging and elevation work which started on September 1, 2021 is targeted to be completed on September 30," she said.
