Governor Anies Inaugurates PJT Tarakan Hospital

Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan accompanied by Jakarta Health Agency (Dinkes) Head, Widyastuti and Tarakan RSUD Director, Dian Ekowati, inaugurated the Integrated Heart Service Center (PJT) at Tarakan Hospital, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (9/28).

The Governor explained, according to Dinkes' data, it was done to prepare a solution for residents of Jakarta considering ischemic heart disease is the number one cause of death in Jakarta.

"Hopefully it can help save people who need services related to heart problem. We want this facility to be useful for them," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

He also reminded that statistics related to data on history of heart disease in Jakarta are indeed very important to monitor. It was useful in knowing that health services in Jakarta were running well.

"By so, people can be treated quickly, and saved if they need various services related to the heart. This is not only a statistical report report, but also the response of residents who are helped because of the service that we hope for," he explained.

He hoped that it could be managed and cared for well. Moreover, its existence is expected to encourage the administration to continuously make improvements for optimal health services.

"Hopefully, it can be our lighter in developing health facilities with new technology, thus they can provide good services in the medical field," he concluded.

As for the information, Integrated Cardiac Service at Tarakan Jakarta RSUD is a heart service center for Tarakan RSUD with the concept of one stop service, namely services from upstream to downstream under one roof supported by specialist doctors and sub-specialists.

They provide diagnostic and management services for heart disease, both medically and invasively (surgical and non-surgical) with or without comorbidities or complications.

As a regional reference, cardiovascular services at Tarakan RSUD include a cardiac specialist polyclinic, which is completed with various non-invasive diagnostic tests such as MSCT & MRI, Cath Lab procedures, cardiac surgery, as well as surgical and non-surgical intervention services, supported by intensive care rooms. Intensive Cardiac Care Unit (ICCU) and Cardiac Thoracic Care Unit (CTCU) with sophisticated and up-to-date medical equipment.
