Rainy Season, South Jakarta Prepares 600 Satpol PP Personnel to Anticipate Disaster

As many as 600 of total 1,200 South Jakarta Satpol PP personnel were deployed to assist residents in facing rainy season. They also prepared 10 rubber boats, 50 operational vehicles, including motorcycles and 50 buoys.

If there is disaster, all actions will be carried out according to SOP

Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Arifin conveyed, Satpol PP's main tasks are not only enforcing regional regulation and public order, but also to assist the community in dealing with disaster, starting from pre-disaster, during disaster, and post-disaster.

For pre-disaster management, his side deployed personnel and prepared everything in order to minimize risks that might occur.

"Today we have entered pre-disaster phase, such as preparing human resources and infrastructure. If there is disaster, all actions will be carried out according to SOP," he mentioned while leading South Jakarta Satpol PP personnel preparation in dealing with disaster in rainy season, Wednesday (10/6).

South Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Ujang Harmawan said, his side will coordinate with urban village, sub-district, and related SKPD in handling disaster in rainy season.

"We can also increase number of personnel and equipment according to conditions and situations," he stated.
