35 Kilograms Tilapia Fish Harvested from Pangeran Jayakarta Retention Basin

Central Jakarta Mayor, Dhany Sukma harvested 35 kilograms tilapia fish from Pangeran Jayakarta Retention Basin in Mangga Dua Selatan Urban Village, Sawah Besar. Today's harvest is from fish stocking which carried out on June 5, 2021 in commemorating World Environment Day.

We can use the assets to build food security

It was the first harvest of tilapia cultivated in Pangeran Jayakarta Retention Basin. He conveyed that the harvested fish were distributed to local residents.

"Thank God, today we can harvest 35 kilograms tilapia and pomfret fish. We can use the assets to build food security, both in forms of fish farming or urban farming," he said, Wednesday (10/6).

Principally, he added, this program was carried out to provide additional food, especially for preventing stunting and fulfilling nutrition for families.

Central Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-agency Head, Penty Yunesti Pudyastuti stated, fish harvest was intended for residents as a part of stunting prevention program.

"Through this activity, we hope it can reduce stunting rate," she mentioned.
