Here are Series of KPKP Events in Commemorating Jakarta's Anniversary

Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security (KPKP) Agency held series of activities to commemorate Jakarta's 494th Anniversary, namely Simultaneus Planting, Gardening Class, Mangrove Planting, Webinar on Handling Agricultural Waste by Making Eco Enzym.

Jakarta KPKP Agency Head, Suharini Eliawati said, Simultaneous Planting activity will be held on June 25, 2021, as the continuation of Gardening Class held through collaboration  between KPKP Agency, Environment (LH) Agency, and TP PKK.

"Simultaneous Planting activities will take place in 1,320 points or each participants' houses. Plants that will be planted are vegetables, fruit trees, and ornamental plants. We also planning to hold joint harvest in August," she explained, Monday (6/21).

Meanwhile, Mangrove Planting activity will be held on Tidung Besar Island and Tidung Kecil Island by Marine Cultivation and Conservation Center (PBKL) in collaboration with ocean activists on June 22, 2021.

"We have prepared 1,200 mangrove seedlings that will be planted in this activity," she added.

Webinar on 'Agricultural Waste Handling by Making Eco Enzyme' will be held by the end of June through collaboration with Eco Enzyme Nusantara and urban farmers in Jakarta.

"The whole series of activities will be carried out with very strict health protocol," she asserted.

In accordance with theme of Jakarta's 494th Anniversary, Jakarta Bangkit (Jakarta Awakening), she expected those programs could give benefits to the community even during COVID-19 pandemic.

"Collaboration still continues, it means communities have sense of togetherness to help others," he conveyed.
