Facing rainy season, Jakarta Bina Marga Agency ensures 67 water pumps in 15 underpasses are in prime condition and ready to operate.

Jakarta Bina Marga Agency Head, Hari Nugroho mentioned, each underpass has around 3-6 water pumps with different capacities.
"We control underpass water pumps in 15 locations. We have ensured them to be ready to use and in great condition. As soon as there is a puddle, the pump will immediately drain it," he explained, Thursday (10/21).

"We have anticipated it by carrying out routine maintenance and repairing the pumps. Thus when it rains, all pumps in 15 underpasses are ready to operate," he stated.
His side can adjust pump operation according to rain intensity and flood water in underpass.
"It can be set by operating three pumps, while one pump is on standby. However, when it rains heavily and flood water is high, we will operate all the pumps," he closed.
