Kemayoran Health Center Encourages Efforts to Prevent Stunting

Kemayoran Sub-district Health Center continues to prevent stunting in the region. One of its efforts is to socialize residents about stunting at Multipurpose Hall of RW 04, Harapan Mulia Urban Village, Kemayoran Sub-district.

We continue to collect data on pregnant women and toddlers by inviting them to participate in stunting prevention socialization

Kemayoran Sub-district Health Center Head, Debby Permatasari hopes there will be no stunting cases in 2024. Currently, her side is monitoring children whose nutrition doesn't meet the standards.

"We continue to collect data o n pregnant women and toddlers by inviting them to participate in stunting prevention socialization," she said, Friday (10/29).

In this socialization, she educate participants how to use nutrition chart to find out child's weight that is proportional to their age, massage toddlers to stimulate their appetite, and hold cooking demonstration to cook healthy food for children and foods that can support growth and development of toddlers in addition to nutrition from breast milk.

"We encourage all TP PKK cadres, Dasawisma cadres, and parents who have children who are underweight and not optimal in height to commit in carrying out stunting detection, at least in three months. For cross-sector, we encourage them to help TP PKK cadres by educating the community during posyandu activities," she conveyed.

Kemayoran Sub-district Head, Asep Mulyaman stated, Kemayoran Sub-district is one of densely populated areas that needs new innovations, one of which is through socialization and commitment to stunting prevention. This activity will be routinely held every three months according to community needs.

"This is the latest innovation in accordance with Governor's recommendation to prevent stunting in children. Since it is still in a pandemic situation, we will continue to comply with health protocols. For those who haven't been vaccinated, please get vaccinated immediately," he mentioned.
