Here are Adjustments to Transjakarta and MRT Operation During PPKM Level 1

PT. Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) and PT. MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) made adjustments to their services due to implementation of Public Activity Restrictions (PPKM) Level 1 in Jakarta.

This policy has been implemented since last Wednesday by complying with health protocols in order to avoid COVID-19 transmission

This policy is to follow up Jakarta Governor's Deceree No. 1312/2021 on Enforcement of Public Activity Restrictions (PPKM) Level 1 Coronavirus Disease 2019 and Jakarta Transportation Agency Head's Decree No. 459/2021 on Technical Guidelines for Limiting Transportation Capacity and Operation of Transportation Modes During Implementation of PPKM Level 1 Coronavirus Disease.

PT. Transjakarta Director of Operation, Prasetia Budi conveyed, Transjakarta's operating time would be extended to 05:00-22:00 from previously 05:00-21:30 during PPKM Level 2.

"This policy has been implemented since last Wednesday by complying with health protocols in order to avoid COVID-19 transmission," he mentioned, Thursday (11/4).

With additional operational hours, he hopes people's mobility can be served better in the future. It is also supported with implementation of 100 percent capacity on all Transjakarta buses, including Rapid Transit Bus (BRT),non-BRT, and Mikrotrans.

According to him, number of fleets will be adjusted in line with re-enactment of normal transportation capacity. Besides, other Transjakarta routes and services that were previously suspended to minimize COVID-19 spread will be also gradually re-operated.

"We will continue to evaluate and give our best services to the customers. We will strive to be consistent in providing public transportation services that are safe and comfortable, especially during the pandemic," he asserted.

On the other hand, PT. MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) Corporate Secretary Division Head, Rendi Alhial mentioned, MRT operational hour for Monday-Friday (weekdays) is at 05:00-22:30. While for Saturday-Sunday (weekend) or holidays, MRT operates from 06:00-22:30.

"Adjustments on MRT operational time take effect from today, November 4, 2021," he said.

He added, headway time on weekdays is every 5 minutes for rush hours, namely at 07:00-09:00 and 17:00-19:00. While headway outside rush hours is every 10 minutes.

"On weekend and holidays, headway time is every 10 minutes. Number of passengers is limited to 65 people per train car," he explained.

For information, PT. Transjakarta and PT. MRT Jakarta continue to implement strict health protocols standard to ensure passengers' safety and comfort.

For information, customers are required to always wear mask and show their COVID-19 vaccination certificate to the officer, either through JAKI or PeduliLindungi application.
