Governor Anies Hopes Jakarta Caravan's Achievements in 2021 STQ to Inspire All Children

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan and his staff gave an appreciation to the Jakarta XXVI Caravan which had maintained the general champion title in the 2021 National Level Tilawatil Qur'an (STQ) Selection at City Hall, on Thursday (11/4).

Let me take this opportunity to specifically appreciate those who work behind the scenes, namely LPTQ

"It feels like just yesterday that we released participants to compete and at that time it was targeted to maintain the champion. With good intentions, hard work, God's blessing, the ideals, we achieved it, congratulations to all," he stated, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

City Won The National STQ General Champion Again

He mentioned that this achievement is a combination of effort and prayer. Ikhtiar or called effort is a long preparation process for the contest participants and their mentors as well as prayers from all parties.

"Let me underline these all combinations. First, ikhtiar is not only when leaving for a race, but a long preparation. That's why I would like to thank the mentors who worked behind this achievement," he explained.

"The second is our prayer. Our efforts are done plus prayers, later when we return home, visit your parents, kiss their hands, thank you for their prayers, as they all send prayers to you that will allow you to achieve as you are today," he added.

He also hoped that the achievement achieved could inspire the growth of the seeds of Al-Quran and Hadith readers in Jakarta.

"We want achievements not only to stop in the form of trophies and awards, but in the form of inspiration for all. For those who received the award today, the hope is there will be many other children will say I want to be a champion like them, that's the inspiration that was spread," he continued.

He also appreciated the role of the supervisors, mayors and regents who have succeeded in regenerating the potential of outstanding Qur'an and Hadith readers.

"Let me take this opportunity to specifically appreciate those who work behind the scenes, namely LPTQ. Hopefully, we can maintain this champion title, so help our children not to fall too deep but we must determine the next success so that we will continue to rise," he said.

"Our future hope is this achievement can be a motivation to get more Al-Quran and Hadith readers. We are now looking for more potential to be developed, thus Jakarta can excel continuously," he stated.

As for the information, Jakarta participants won the General Champion through 9 people who got a total value of 33 points and 12 achievers as (Champions and Hopes).

As an appreciation to participants, trainers and officials, here are awards given to them through grant assistance:

a. Rp 50,000,000 for 1st winner

b. Rp 40,000,000 for 2nd winner

c. Rp 30,000,000 for 3rd winner

d. Rp 20,000,000 for 1st hope winner

e. Rp 15,000,000 for 2st hope winner

f. Rp 10,000,000 for 3rd hope winner
