Jakarta Contingent Won The General Champion for National's STQ Competition

The brilliant and proud achievement was achieved by contingent of Tilawatil Qur'an Selection (STQ) from Jakarta. The contingent succeeded to be the general champion in the 23th national's STQ competition. 

These 16 STQ participants are the winner at national level from three categories

Because of the winning, the contingent which consists of 16 participants then welcomed by City Secretary's Assistant for Community Welfare Division, Fatahillah at City Hall, Sunday (8/16). 

"These 16 STQ participants are the winner at national level from three categories, that is Tilawah, Tahfidz and Tafsir," said Fatahillah at City Hall, Sunday (8/16).

He told, the winners are really appreciated by the Jakarta Governor Basuki 'Ahok' Tjahaja Purnama as they make proud of Jakarta. Moreover, their winning coincides with the 70th Indonesia's Independence Day thus it becomes a gift for the city. 

Fatahillah hopes, in future, Jakarta STQ participants could keep fighting to improve achievement at national level. The achievement is believed could motivate citizens for reading Al Quran. 

"We hope in future they could achieve even better and get the same achievement in 2016 Musabakoh Tilawatil Quran (MTQ)," he disclosed.
