Transjakarta Asks Operator Partners to Ensure Drivers on Duty are in Good Condition

security system, especialy in the process of checking driver's health.This is one of efforts made thus similar accident will not happen again in the future
PT. Transjakarta Operation Director, Prasetia Budi said, this step was taken to follow up recommendations given by Polda Metro Jaya's Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas) when holding press conference related to accident of two Transjakarta buses on Jalan MT Haryono, East Jakarta, on Monday (10/25).
"Jakarta Transportation Agency as regulator and PT. Transjakarta as bus management company are basically partnering with operators and from management side, they are part of us. We will communicate it with operator partners regarding this recommendation thus it can be implemented as soon as possible," he stated, Friday (11/5).
PT Transjakarta Returns to Operate its Night ServiceHe explained that PT. Transjakarta took the initiative to provide blood pressure monitor to ensure that drivers are ready to start their duties in serving customers mobility.
"Driver's health checking, both internally and externally, should be improved. This is one of efforts made thus similar accident will not happen again in the future," he mentioned.
He added that PT. Transjakarta will ensure that everything is carried out properly and is ready to give sanctions if there are operator partners who do not carry out this policy properly.
"We accept the input given by Polda Metro Jaya and will make improvements. Transjakarta is also ready to implement all recommendations given as well as possible," he asserted.
