Jakarta Regional Mitigation Agency (BPBD) has noted that moderate to heavy rain in Jakarta and its surrounding areas Monday afternoon has left dozens of neighborhood units (RT) inundated.

Jakarta BPBD's Center for Disaster Data and Information (Pusdatin) Head Mohammad Insaf said, until 12 PM, 38 out of 30,470 RTs or 0.125 percent in Jakarta were inundated with a water level of 50-170 cm.
"Nine are in South Jakarta and 29 are in East Jakarta. It happens after Ciliwung Pesanggrahan and Krukut rivers overflowed," he expressed, Monday (11/8).

"We are targeting the flood to recede as soon as possible. Based on temporary data, 15 households with 65 people of Kampung Melayu Urban Village have been evacuated at the local urban village office and Ittihadul Ikhwan Mosque in RW 008," he stated.
