The Kwitang Urban Village PPSU personnel have been alerted to dredge gutters alongside Jalan Kwitang Raya, Kwitang Urban Village, Senen Sub-district. It aims to anticipate flooding in the rainy season.

Kwitang Urban Village Head, it is carried out by cleaning up mud in gutters and push flooding to water channels. Previously, personnel, locals and related agencies had held Gerebek Lumpur action at the same location.

"Alhamdulillah, this morning, we have conducted Gerebek Lumpur in RW 07. This is our routine agenda to minimize flooding when heavy rain pours like today. Moreover, PPSU has been on standby in flood-prone areas," he expressed, Sunday (12/5).

Afterwards, they also cleaned up garbage carried by rainwater. Most of garbage was plastic bottles, used plastic food wrappers, and dry leaves.

"So, please don't litter. If there is still a lot of garbage in the channels, let's clean it together in order to prevent piles of garbage and flooding," he stated.
