As many as 400 joint personnel join Gerebek Lumpur program (cleanup action) carried out in some water channels in Tanjung Priok Urban Village, Tanjung Priok Sub-district, North Jakarta, on Sunday (10/24).

Tanjung Priok Sub-district Vice Head, Ma'min said, those 400 joint personnel consisted of PPSU, Water Resources (SDA) Executing Unit, Bina Marga Executing Unit, Fire and Rescue Sub-agency, Parks and City Forest Sub-agency, Environment Sub-agency and Water Agency UPK.

"Our focus today is channels that across RW 11, 12, 13, and 15," he expressed.

To accelerate it, one unit of mini excavator, one unit of fire engine to push the mud and three units of dump truck to transport mud had been deployed to the location.

By doing so, it was expected to minimize flooding during the rainy season.

"We call on local residents to always maintain cleanliness of micro and macro channels by not littering. Don't also build a building above the channel as it complicates the cleaning process," he asserted.
