Job Seekers Find Jakarta Job Fair at Mangga Dua Square Helpful

Jakarta Job Fair which held at  Mangga Dua Square, Jalan Gunung Sahari, Pademangan North Jakarta was enthusiastically welcomed by job seekers.

It brings job seekers to meet with employers who need workers

One of job seekers, Mutia Febiani (24), Marunda Urban Village resident, Cilincing Sub-district, North Jakarta admitted that she was greatly helped by job fair. Moreover, there are number of companies that directly interview the job seekers on the location.

"It is very helpful, it brings job seekers to meet with employers who need workers. Hopefully I can be accepted for work," she expressed, Wednesday (12/8).

Job Fair Held at PGC Cililitan Opens 5,000 Job Vacancies

Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration (Nakertrans) and Energy Agency Head, Andri Yansyah mentioned, job fair was held to facilitate people who need jobs and companies that need workers.

"During the pandemic, one of most significant impacts is employment issue. Hopefully, this activity can absorb many workers," he added.

According to him, since COVID-19 pandemic hit, unemployment rate in Jakarta has reached 10.95 percent or around 572,980 people. Therefore, government has made various efforts to reduce unemployment rate, one of which is through job fair.

"Until November 2021, unemployment rate still remains at 439,899 people. We will continue to reduce it," he stated.

Meanwhile, North Jakarta Nakertrans and Energy Sub-agency Acting Head (Plt), Siti Nurbaiti mentioned, this Jakarta Job Fair is held on December 8-9, 2021.

"There are 40 companies with total 1,850 vacancies. Hopefully it can be absorbed as many as possible," she conveyed.
