PAM Jaya Targets to Expand Its Service By Building Three SPAMs

PAM Jaya plans to build two Drinking Water Management System (SPAM) in Pesanggrahan and Ciliwung, as well as pipeline network as an off-taker from SPAM Jatiluhur.

PAM Jaya President Director, Priyatno Bambang Hernowo conveyed, SPAM Pesanggrahan project will be carried out in early 2022 and estimated to be completed in early 2024.

SPAM Pesanggrahan will serve areas in Pesanggrahan, Kebayoran Lama, Cilandak, Pasar Minggu, and Jagakarsa Sub-districts.

"Benefits of this project are increasing water supply to 750 liters per second, increasing service area coverage by about 2.7 percent and adding 45,000 connections or families served," he informed, Tuesday (12/14).

He explained that SPAM Ciliwung construction work is in the process of improving documents for Environmental Management Efforts and Environmental Monitoring Efforts (UKP-UKL).

This project is expected to increase supply by 200 liters per second with increase in service area for about 0.9 percent, and to add about 15,000 connections or families that are served with clean water.

"SPAM Ciliwung service area covers Pasar Minggu Sub-district, such as Warung Jati Barat, Pejaten, Rawajati Timur, Kalibata, and parts of Jagakarsa Sub-district," he mentioned.

According to him, SPAM Jatiluhur pipeline network construction is currently in the process of making feasibility study (FS) and transmission pipe basic engineering design (BED), both documents have been sent to Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Agency.

SPAM Jatiluhur project is expected to add water supply by around 4,000 liters per second and increase in service coverage for about 14.4 percent with potential to add new connections with about 240,000 new customers.

"It covers Cilincing, Marunda, Kepu, Rorotan, Sunter Utara, Gunung Sahari, Muara Karang, Pondok Kopi and its surrounding," he said.
