500 Joint Personnel Cleaned Up Ciliwung River

As many as 500 joint personnel from the Army, Satpol PP, as well as East Jakarta Cleanliness Sub-Department and Fire and Disaster Handling Sub-Department did a communal work on Ciliwung River, Tuesday (12/2). The activity was done around Ciliwung Bridge, precisely on Jalan KH Abdullah Syafii, Kampung Melayu Urban Village, Jatinegara Sub-District.

“This work is done because there are still many mud and trashes stuck under Ciliwung Bridge. We prepare five dump trucks, each with a capacity of 10 meter cubic, to transport the mud and trashes,” stated Head of East Jakarta Cleanliness Sub-Department, Apul Silalahi.

Meanwhile, Military District 0505/JT Chief of Staff, Major Infantry Okky Risdianto, said this communal work is a routine agenda done by his party and city administration. The cleaning work will keep being conducted up to Ciliwung River’s downstream in West Canal and Angke River.

“This action is a follow-up of attention from the Military Commander (Pangdam Jaya) to realize clean Ciliwung River. That’s why the army is ready to help Jakarta Provincial Government to clean up the city to be neater as well as more beautiful and comfortable,” he uttered.
