Total 770 joint personnel from East Jakarta Government, TNI, Police, and communities were prepared to secure Christmas and New Year celebrations in East Jakarta.

They were gathered at TMII Purna Bakti Museum, East Jakarta, on Thursday (12/23). This activity was led by East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Pol. Erwin Kurniawan and attended by East Jakarta Vice Mayor, Hendra Hidayat, as well as representatives from Kodim 0505/East Jakarta and East Jakarta District Attorney (Kejari).

East Jakarta Vice Mayor, Hendra Hidayat said, his side together with Forkopimko will do their best to keep the condition in East Jakarta safe and conducive.
"We will deploy all existing components, from city, sub-district, and urban village levels, including from RT, RW, and FKDM in urban villages," he stated.
East Jakarta Police Chief, Kombes Pol. Erwin Kurniawan explained, as many as 770 joint personnel will be deployed to several locations that are considered prone to crowds. They will also guard 250 churches in 10 sub-districts in East Jakarta on Christmas.
"There are 151 churches in East Jakarta that hold Christmas worship activities. In each location, we have prepared about 90 joint personnel," he mentioned.
On this occasion, he also appealed those churches to prepare QR code for PeduliLindungi application. Thus every congregation who comes can show proof that they have been vaccinated through the application. During worship, congregation must also comply with health protocols that have been set to prevent COVID-19 transmission.
