2,100 Personnel Deployed to Maintain Cleanliness on Christmas Eve

Jakarta Environment (LH) Agency will deploy 2,100 personnel to ensure Jakarta is clean on Christmas Eve.

All sub-agencies at city administration levels and task forces at sub-district levels have been instructed to maintain cleanliness in churches located in each regions

Jakarta LH Agency Head, Asep Kuswanto guarantees that there will be no pile of waste during Christmas celebrations in Jakarta. According to him, waste handling is still carried out as usual by preparing an operation plan, task force, equipment, and operational vehicle to transport waste.

"All sub-agencies at city administration levels and task forces at sub-district levels have been instructed to maintain cleanliness in churches located in each regions," he asserted, Tuesday (2/12).

He explained that Jakarta LH Agency deployed at least 50 personnel in each sub-district to clean up and ensure Christmas celebrations in each churches to run well.

"They will work with local PPSU personnel," he added.

His side will also prepared operational vehicles to transport waste, road sweeper, mobile toilet, wheeled trash cans, and alerted TPST Bantargebang to operate 24 hours to provide services on Christmas Eve.

He mentioned, personnel and cleaning fleets were assigned to churches, especially large churches with large congregations, such as Cathedral and Central Jakarta Immanuel Church, Adventist Church, and Pasar Minggu HKBP in South Jakarta, Theresia Church in East Jakarta, and Indonesian Tiberias Church in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta.

"Our scenario is still to do an optimal service, where personnel are also equipped with adequate PPE," he closed.
