The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) is urging Jakartans to prepare themselves with umbrellas and rain coats as it predicts that rain will pour parts of Jakarta on Saturday (12/25).

Remember, rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds will hit parts of West, South, and East Jakarta in the afternoon and in the evening

"Remember, rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds will hit parts of West, South, and East Jakarta in the afternoon and in the evening," stated BMKG's official site.

West, Central, East, North Jakarta and Thousand Islands are forecast to see rain with moderate intensity in the afternoon. While thunderstorm will hit South Jakarta.

In the evening, light rain is expected in Central, South, East Jakarta and Thousand Islands; bright cloudy in West and North Jakarta.

Entering at dawn, thunderstorm will hit West, Central, and North Jakarta; rain with moderate intensity in South, East Jakarta and Thousand Islands.

Temperatures in five regions and Thousand Islands are predicted at 24 to 28 degrees Celsius with air humidity of 75 to 95 percent.
