Prepare Your Umbrellas, BMKG Forecasts Rain Today for Jakarta

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) is urging Jakartans to prepare themselves with umbrellas and rain coats as it predicts that rain will pour parts of Jakarta on Friday (12/24).

Remember, rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds will hit West, South and East Jakarta at noon and in the late afternoon

"Remember, rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds will hit West, South and East Jakarta at noon and in the late afternoon," stated BMKG's official site.

At noon, light rain is predicted to shower West and Central Jakarta; thunderstorm in South Jakarta; rain with moderate intensity in East Jakarta; and cloudy in North Jakarta and Thousand Islands.

Thunderstorm is Predicted to Occur in Several Regions of Jakarta This Afternoon

At night, South and East Jakarta will see light rain; cloudy in West, Central, North Jakarta and Thousand Islands. At tomorrow's dawn, clear cloudy is expected in five regions of Jakarta, except in Thousand Islands.

Temperatures in five regions and Thousand Islands are predicted at 23 to 32 degrees Celsius with air humidity of 70 to 95 percent.
