Poultry Business Moved in January 2015

Poultry shelter business in Matraman Sub-district will be relocated to Chicken Slaughterhouse (RPA) Rawa Kepiting and Rawa Terate, Cakung. The business is considered to make the environment dirty and prone to bird flu disease. The relocation must be done in January 2015.

The RPH is completed with slaughter machine. 150 chickens could be slaughtered within 30 minutes

HR Krisdiyanto, East Jakarta Administration Mayor said, the relocation is one efforts to handle the environment due to many citizen reported and complained about the slaughterhouses and shelter existence in Matraman.

"We are not willing to destroy, but handle the environment to make citizen comfort. If they reject to be relocated, we will force them. According to city layout, the area should be used as citizen settlement, not chicken shelter," said Krisdiyanto, Tuesday (12/2).

East Jakarta Livestocks and Fisheries Sub Department Head, Wachyuni added, from 21 businesses, as much as 15 shelters will be relocated to RPA Rawa Kepiting and 5 more will be relocated to Rawa Terate. While another one shelter is already inactive.

"The RPH is completed with slaughter machine. 150 chickens could be slaughtered within 30 minutes. Training will be provided before they are moved to RPH," Wachyuni stated.
