Rawa Badak Utara Urban Village Intensifies COVID-19 Vaccination for Children Aged 6-11 Years

COVID-19 vaccination for children aged 6-11 years continues to be intensified in Rawa Badak Utara Urban Village, Koja Sub-district, North Jakarta.

Total 60 students participate in this vaccination from 8:00

Rawa Badak Utara Urban Village's Public Welfare Section Head, Pujiati stated, this door-to-door vaccination service was carried out in three elementary schools, namely SD Negeri 05, SD Advent, and SD Negeri 15.

"Total 60 students participate in this vaccination from 8:00. In detail, there are 34 students in SD Negeri 05, 11 students in SD Advent, 15 students in SDN Negeri 15 Rawa Badak Utara, and 14 children who live around the school," she explained, Wednesday (1/5).

Based on data collection, there were total 4,762 children aged 6-11 years in Rawa Badak Utara Urban Village.

"Total 2,517 children have been injected with first dose vaccine, including from 11 elementary schools in Rawa Badak Utara Urban Village. We will continue to optimize door-to-door vaccination service thus our target for first dose vaccination for children aged 6-11 years can be achieved as soon as possible," she conveyed.

Vaccination rate for first and second doses of vaccine in Rawa Badak Utara Urban Village for targeted residents aged 12 years to elderly, so far has reached 27,804 residents of target 34,408 residents.

"We hope door-to-door vaccination service carried out in elementary schools can accelerate our work to achieve vaccination target in order to build herd immunity," she expressed.

Meanwhile, one of students' parents, Sayuri was happy because her son, Caesar Biansyah had been vaccinated against COVID-19.

"It is one form of protection that can be done to avoid bad effects of exposure to COVID-19. So, I feel relieved and calmer," she mentioned.
